Very pleasant perfumy nose; at first suggesting something like peppermint or aniseed, but evolving over a few minutes into something more like honeysuckle. Nice raspberries in the mid range. Best of all, the perfumy finish lasts for several minutes after each micro-sip. Really, a most impressive wine from a virtually unknown source. For all you Charles Shaw fans, why don't you give this a try, and get your palate calibrated! Surely you can spring for 7 bucks once a week.
