Tooth-staining opaque ruby/purple color. Nose displays deep, tarry blackberry and blueberry fruit, charcoal, toast. Chewy texture very similar to Australian Shiraz. Rich finish shows black cherry and a slightly floral roasted peach character along with black fruits. Would probably soften a bit in the next year but delicious already. Exceptional quality for just $8.99.
