Bella
2006 Syrah Sonoma County

Appellation: Dry Creek, Sonoma, California

Review Date : 2008-05-13

Winebork Rating = 89

Tasting Notes

Made from a blend of Lilly Hill and Belle Canyon fruit, along with grapes from the Sonoma Coast, this is exceptionally good wine for a "generic" Sonoma County appellation. Lovely deep, opaque purple color, big spicy aromas and flavors hinting at roasted meat, ground black pepper, black berries, vanilla, and blueberry crisp. Full-bodied but soft and (to my taste buds, anyway) ready to drink right now. It will be interesting to taste the single-vineyard Syrahs coming out later.
