Really disappointing in light of the vintage and this normally excellent winery. Dull and underendowed Zinfandel that is bettered by many if not most Zins in this price range. Claret-like structure with straightforward, unassertive, slightly herbal berry and currant fruit. Not much zip in the aromas, flavors or finish. Certainly OK wine, just not at this price level. Utterly outclassed by an outstanding Hartford Russian River Zin tasted the day before.
