Tasted at a dinner party so some of the details (such as cost) are missing. Also, I believe this may have been a special bottling and not generally available. But it is probably the best Mourvedre I've ever tasted, not surprising from one of the original Rhone Rangers. Opaque in the glass, with a rich, complex nose of red licorice, cedar, and dark fruits. Full bodied with a nice, chewy texture, good balance, and excellent finish. I wonder what this wine cost and where it came from?
