Tasting Notes

A very pleasant surprise. This wine, made predominantly of the Montepulciano grape, has a deep red color, a surprisingly forward nose of strawberries, earth, and leather, and pleasant, medium-intensity flavors. Not a bad finish, either. Much better than any number of other Italian Sangiovese-based wines that cost more.
