As good as the 2005 Camelot Higlands was, this one is even better - richer and more complete. Toasty impression when first opened, but this expands to multiple layers of rich tropical/citrus fruit - apricot, Meyer lemon, pineapple, banana. Wonderful acid balance adds freshness and precision; notes of buttered toast and yeast in the finish add complexity. This is one Chardonnay that stands up nicely even when fully chilled. In today's marketplace, it's a genuine bargain at $25.
