Another insanely good bargain from R Wines, this Cabernet has more character and quality than most of the $40+ California Cabs I've tasted in Dry Creek tasting rooms lately. Deep purple in color; excellent ripeness; earthy and chewy. Spicy cherry, berry, and bittersweet chocolate flavors, along with classic weedy dark currant notes. Despite the 15% alcohol, does not come across as hot or unbalnced. If anything, this wine will continue to improve for a couple of years, though it's awfully nice right now. Love the label.
